Jacob's Acorns

"We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance." (see 1 Ne. 1:20). -Elder Bednar- April 2005 The Tender Mercies of the Lord.

This is a quilt made by the Young Men and Women of the Park's ward. Each star represents a member of Jacob's family. It was peiced and quilted by two wonderful women of the ward, Nique and Susan.

Temple

Yesterday some of Jacob's family and friends met at the Bountiful Temple to do Jacob's Temple work. This first picture was taken later that night, after we went to Jacob's viewing.
There was a sweet spirit there, as we felt of Jacob and our Saviors love for us.

I was a wonderful experience. We are so thankful for Temples, our Savior and the knowledge that FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER!

Jacob's Obituary

JACOB PARK

Jacob Forrest Park 4/10/1997 ~ 10/04/2009 CENTERVILLE- Jacob Forrest Park died 12 days after a bike accident. He was the energy of our home and a great example of love and service. Jacob made friends wherever he went, always happy with an infectious smile. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He loved scouts and bowling, but especially the beach, camping and fishing. We are comforted in the knowledge that families are forever, we will be with him again. Thank you to our friends, family and neighbors for incredible support and to the caring efforts of the Primary Children's staff. Jacob had another miracle left, he was able to be an organ donor and give the gift of life to others.
